Hi, I’m Blyton — the person behind The Pinto Craft Studio, a small home-based side hustle in Perth creating handmade wooden plaques from reclaimed and salvaged timber.
This business began simply as a way to build an additional income stream through something practical and hands-on. There was no big vision or carefully planned brand strategy behind it — just an interest in working with old wood and turning it into products people would enjoy having in their homes.
Most pieces start with timber that has already served another purpose and would otherwise be discarded. With some sanding, finishing, and carefully chosen wording, the wood is transformed into plaques featuring Christian verses, encouraging quotes, and simple messages designed for everyday spaces.
I’m not a professional artist or a large-scale maker, and I don’t pretend this is anything more than what it is — a small hobby business built steadily over time. What matters to me is creating pieces that are well made, visually simple, and useful as home décor, small gifts, or personal reminders.
The natural grain, knots, markings, and imperfections in the wood are intentionally preserved, giving each plaque its own character and ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike.
The Pinto Craft Studio continues to operate as a small, home-based venture focused on creating straightforward products in small quantities for people who appreciate handmade timber décor with meaningful words.
